Folk Art Platter Workshop

Service Description

Let your mind unwind and your creative style flow during this 3 hour ceramic platter decorating workshop. We come to your event venue and help you get the most out of your pottery painting experience. Whether it be a special birthday, baby shower or hen do celebration or a friend & family get together, this workshop is sure to add that memorable creative edge. During this custom-made and personally adapted session, you will be guided through the pattern designing of your platter. You may apply your own theme and will be taught the use of an effective yet simple carbon paper stenciling and painting technique. We offer the choice of either a hare or a fox design which you may choose or if you are feeling adventurous you may create your own. Throughout the workshop you will be guided step by step on how to build your pattern and colour with insightful personalised tuition. This beautiful statement piece is sure to be center stage of any dinning table. Workshops are charged at £60 per person and require a minimum of 6 people attending. All the materials you will need are included in the cost, including the 32cm platter, use of underglazes and materials, glazing & firing and the tuition. We ask for a deposit of £180 to secure your booking, this is redeemable against your final spend. Bookings must be placed with us a minimum of 14 working days before your event date in order for us to source materials. Your finished creation will be left with us at the end of the workshop so that it can be clear glazed and fired to make it long lasting and food safe. They will be ready around 1 week later. We offer free travelling costs up to 10 miles from our address GL56 9TB and £1.20 per mile there after. Finished platters can be collected from our address, delivered at the cost of 95p per mile from our address to the drop off location or they can be posted at an additional cost.
